Quality Foster Care

What We Do

Quality Foster Care addresses the trauma of displaced youth by placing them with highly qualified, caring resource parents. We are here to provide structure, stability, and compassionate care during their most challenging times.

Our Commitment

The Right Resources

Quality Foster Care provides temporary out-of-home housing for clients, ages 0-17, as well as non-minor dependents, ages 18-21, who have been removed from their homes by Child Protective Services (CPS), police departments, probation, or other agencies. Quality Foster Care places youths into nurturing family environments, with skilled and well-trained resource parents who will be compassionate, patient, and understanding of trauma-affected clients.

Services provided to the families and the clients include:

  • Using community resources to support their case plan
  • Facilitating family reunification and permanence planning
  • Assisting with transitioning clients into adulthood

Quality Foster Care provides 24-hour support and guidance for the resource parents and clients, ensuring they have a successful experience in the foster care system.

Resource Parents

The Power of Family

Quality Foster Care’s Resource Parents are carefully selected to provide all parenting needs at the level our clients deserve. Parents’ abilities are supported by resources from QFS and the community.

Quality Foster Care is staffed with social workers who have a master’s degree, and Resource Homes are licensed by California State Licensing (CCL), as governed by Title 22 and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International.

What We Look for in a Resource Family

Positivity

Resource Families must have patience and realistic expectations of our clients. They should be advocates and positive role models, who are sure they have the time to invest in our clients.

Structure

A Resource Family must set healthy boundaries while incorporating our clients into their life. We ensure that they have the structure, support, and guidance to be fair but firm with our clients.

Ability

Resource Families must be able to provide a safe environment for the client, adhering to their personal rights with discipline. We also look for Resource parents who have the ability and interest in permanency planning.
